Have you ever driven across a massive bridge and wondered, ‘how on earth was this made?’. Well, we won’t go into the many details and techniques of how bridges are made, but we will show you how the people of China are building bridges.
This bridge erection machine is almost alien like, something out of this world. The machine is massive, weighing in at 580 tons. The 301 foot machine is able to lift 900 tons of material.
Once the bridge supports are in place, the machine is able to roll itself out over the gaps between the supports. The machine carrying a large portion of road/bridge that will rest on the supports. Once the machine is resting on the supports, it lowers the road/bridge into place where workers secure it. Repeat this process a few times and you my friends, have yourself a bridge!
