It was a cloudy day in Eagle Point, Oregon, and a young bike thief tried to steal a woman’s mountain bike from her. She yelled, hoping someone would help her keep her bike, and someone did. Robert Borba had been loading a camping tent and dog food into his truck when he heard the cyclist’s cry for help. He knew he probably couldn’t catch the thief on foot, but he had an ace up his sleeve. He got his horse, Long John, out of his horse trailer and chased down the thief.
The thief had dropped the bike and was making a run for it, but Robert lassoed him and brought him to the ground.
The rodeo champion didn’t think twice about his actions stating ‘stealing isn’t right’. The lasso went around right down around the thief’s feet and he hit the ground hard! Robert stayed until police arrived and took the unlucky theif into custody!
