Meet a group of airline employees and baggage handlers — known as the Delta Honor Guard — at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. They gather on the tarmac as a Fallen Soldier and his K9 as their bodies arrive home. The Honor Guard holds a ceremony as the caskets are transferred onto the plane. As you watch the video, notice the people watching in awe from inside the terminal above.

The smaller coffin is the soldier’s K9 partner who was trained in IEDs. The Delta Honor Guard conducts a handful of these ceremonies each week, on arriving or departing flights. Sometimes, the casket is connected to another Delta flight, where it leaves for its final destination. Kudos to you Delta, for making the world that much better.
