Dryer sheets are the bomb! They make your load of laundry smell fresh and keep your dried belongings static free! But they can be pricey and they are a one and done product!
To cut down on waste and save a little money…you will definitely want to try making your own ‘reusable’ dryer sheets right at home!
Here is what you need to make them!
Ingredients:
- Vinegar
- Essential oil (for fragrance)
- Resealable container
- Cut up fabric, sewn to prevent fraying (e.g.: old dishtowels, hand towels, t-shirts, sheets)
Directions:
Combine 1/2 cup of vinegar and around 7-10 drops of your favorite essential oil(s) in a bowl – depending on how strong of a smell you want.
Pour the solution in your resealable container and add your fabric sheets. Flip the container several times and let it soak.
Throw in a few of your new homemade dryer sheets with your clothes and then put them back and let them soak again in the solution. If there’s not enough liquid, just re-add, it’s that simple!
