At the Alice Springs Desert Park in Northern Australia, the park allows guests to pay to get up close and personal with some local types of birds, including eagles.
While most visitors sit in the audience of the show and observe from a safe distance, one little boy got an up close encounter with one of these eagles after it flew straight at him and began to attack.
“At a nature park in Alice Springs we decided to go to a bird show the young boy in the green kept pulling his zipper up and down,” bystander Christine O’Connell wrote on Instagram, captioning a photo of the incident.
“For some reason the Wedge Tailed Eagle did not like it and instead of flying over to the log he is meant to for a photo opportunity he flew straight at the young boy and attacked him.”
It would appear that the eagle was attempting to pick the little boy up!
These folks wanted a good opportunity to snap some great photos…and they certainly got one!
