When 92-year-old Pauline Jacobi left Wal-Mart , she never expected the events that would follow her quick shopping trip.
Pauline had filled her trunk with the groceries she had just purchased and got into her car…an armed robber also got in. He told her that if she didn’t give him all of her money, he was going to shoot her. Pauline told the robber “no,” three times. Then she said something that changed everything.
“If you kill me, I’ll go to heaven and you’ll go to hell,” she said. “Jesus is in this car and he goes with me everywhere I go.” She preached to the robber for nearly 10 minutes. Not knowing if the man would take her life right then and there.
Then finally the man agreed, he told her would go home and pray. He didn’t want any money from Pauline anymore. But Pauline knew exactly what had just happened… maybe she had given this man a bit of hope, maybe he would choose a better path, maybe all he needed was some help.
So she gave him everything she had left, $10. Then the man thanked her and kissed her on the cheek.
