It isn’t often that we get to see where our food comes from! If we did, there would probably be a whole lot more vegetarian’s out there!
When it comes to the production of chicken and eggs, there are three very different ways of production. You have caged chickens and free-range chickens.
Cage-free: The chickens are not caged and able to freely roam a barn or other facility, but they generally don’t have access to the outdoors.
Free-range: Indicates the hens are cage-free and have some access to the outdoors.
So, with that said, even if you see the label “cage-free” on your chicken or egg packages, this still doesn’t mean the conditions are not disgusting & unpleasant. True free-range chickens are like night and day in regards to the other processes, as you are about to see.
