Heartburn…the symptoms are common but can often make you feel like you are having a heart attack and that is never a pleasant feeling.
Sure you can take over the counter drugs to cure heartburn quickly, but those are nasty and expensive! There are plenty of natural remedies that will dissolve heartburn quickly and have you going on with your day feeling good!
Acid reflux and heartburn are common ailments affecting 60% of adults in the United States this year. Whether you just at a meal that didn’t agree with you or you are in a stressful situation in life, both can cause heartburn.
Here are four ways to get rid of heartburn, naturally and quickly!
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
With a pH of around 5, vinegar is an acid that will help lower heartburn levels. It helps to improve digestion and reduce the pressure that builds up causing the uncomfortable condition.
Apple Cider Vinegar also helps with proper digestion and contains healthy probiotics.
Add 2-tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar to 1/4 cup of water and drink. Repeat every 5-minutes until your heartburn subsides. Take a shot of it before meals to help prevent acid reflux.
2. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice has a pH of around 2, which makes it an acid stronger than vinegar. Lemon juice also contains a ton of nutrients like vitamin C. It won’t only help with heartburn, it will help boost your immune system too!
This remedy won’t cure heartburn immediately, but add it to your water daily and heartburn will be no where in sight!
Try picking up some digestive enzymes, HCL with pepsin, Probiotics, Magnesium or L-Glutamine. These should help ease heartburn symptoms.
4. Baking Soda
This is probably the best remedy of all four! I personally have used this in the past and it works immediately and brilliantly.
Baking soda is made up of Sodium Bicarbonate, which is the active ingredient in many over the counter ‘heartburn’ or ‘anti-acid’ medications.
Simply mix a tablespoon of baking soda with warm water and drink. You will immediately feel the acid in your body subside. You may feel a little gassy for a moment and you will no doubt burp, but your heartburn will be gone!
You may have to repeat the process if the heartburn doesn’t fully go away the first round!
