Seventeen-year-old Adrianne Ledesma was in a panic when she found her father lying, unconscious on the kitchen floor having a seizure. Her father was only 3-weeks out of brain surgery when he collapsed which made the situation very, very serious.

Adrianne quickly called 911 and as she waited for someone to pick up on the other end, her frustration grew. Adrianne didn’t realize that calls to 911 start recording prior to someone picking up and out of frustration for the long wait, she muttered the words ‘what the f#$k’.

WhenOfficer Robert McFarland finally picked up the call, Adrianne immediately requested an ambulance. McFarland however, didn’t care about the medical emergency, he was more concerned with the girls language. McFarland hung up the phone. With Adrianne’s father still lying unconscious on the floor, she called 911 back. McFarland answereded again and with an angry tone, called her an ass and proceeded to hang up again after a few strong words were shared between both parties.

Adrianne called back a third time, where she was hung up on again. After wasting nearly six minutes, Adrianne left her brother in charge and rushed a few blocks over to the local police station. As this was happening, McFarland finally dispatched an ambulance to the scene.

When Adrianne arrived at the police station she was angry. Her tone louder and more foul. McFarland came out front and asked her if she was the foul mouthed girl he had just spoke with. When she said yes, she was taken in a back room and then arrested for abusing 911 and disorderly conduct. The abusing 911 charge, is not even a real charge that can be placed on someone. While all of this was happening, Adrianne’s father lay unconscious on the floor, seizing.

McFarland never publicly made a sound in regards to the incident, his boss however did. The Sergeant explained to the community that they dropped the ball and made no excuse for the officers actions. McFarland was ultimitely suspended without pay for 2 weeks, while Adrianne and her father retained an attorney.
