“Battle of the Bastards” was one of Game of Thrones’ most memorable episodes, with one of the most harrowing and visceral battles ever captured on film. This behind-the-scenes video explores how director Miguel Sapochnik staged the epic set-piece from start to finish.

The scene cost 10-million dollars to create and included hundreds of extras, hundreds of dead body and horse props, and used some of the most incredible CGI effects ever seen on television. Check out the video below!
