The slingshot ride is one ride I have always refused to try for fear that the cable would snap. Over my many years people have tried telling me this would never happen and the ride is so much fun, well folks…it happened.
Check out this footage of the slingshot ride cable snapping and crashing into the support tower at a French theme park.
Here is a video where the slingshot cable snapped just prior to launch. Talk about lucky riders, it is a good thing this mishap happened on the ground and not in the air.
