In his sculptural series ‘Somewhere Small’, artist Jedediah Corwyn Voltz makes house plants better (and even more hipster) by pairing them with miniature treehouses.
The Los Angeles-based artist uses props – such as basswood, fabrics, and scrap balsa – left over from his film projects. During his spare time, he builds these little structures, even filling them with decorations like pottery, rugs, furniture, paintings, and precious stones.
To date, he’s made 25, ranging from homes to windmills to watchtowers.
“This is my way of bringing my love of geology into my work just a little bit,” said Voltz.
