Sure we can go out and purchase a toilet bowl cleaner, it may last a few days and do the job, but where is the pride in that? Below you will learn how to make your own toilet bowl ‘fizzies’ that will keep your toilet looking and smelling fresh!
Here is what you will need :
- 5.5 Ounces Baking soda
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
- 1/2 Tbsp Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Hydrogen peroxide (3 %, from the pharmacy)
- 15-20 Drops Of Fragrant Oil
Directions :
Mix baking soda and lemon juice in a bowl.
Mix up the hydrogen peroxide along with the vinegar in a small, separate bowl. Then, combine with the baking powder mix. At this point you will want to add your fragrant oil of choice.
Now, take a measuring spoon and make tiny half balls out of the mixture. Place the half balls on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Add a little water and vinegar if you want to help the mixture stay together a little better.
Allow the half balls to dry overnight, although they will probably done in just four hours, drying overnight ensures they will be perfect.
Once dry, place them in an air tight mason jar and start dropping one in your toilet whenever you feel it needs a bit of freshening up! I drop one in every two days just ensure our thrown is always pearly white!
