I have always been fascinated with stories of people who go to such great lengths to look like something or ‘something’ else. I wonder what fuels them, what causes them to want to leave their own self in search of a new identity. I guess it’s different for each person, but none the less, it is still interesting. 

In the story below…we have a couple who thought they would spend the rest of their lives together morphing into Ken and Barbie dolls…all with the help of plastic surgery. 

However, this ‘real’ life Ken doll doesn’t care for brunettes…and when his ‘real’ life Barbie dyed her hair…he called it quits. Sounds like trouble in Malibu! 

Quentin Dehar, 24, thought he had found ‘The One’ after meeting similarly obsessed Anastasia Reskoss who had splurged $137,000 to look like Barbie. Quentin has spent $97,000 himself to transform into a ‘real’ life Ken doll. 

Together, the couple embarked on multiple cosmetic procedures and bought matching Ken and Barbie cars to look like their plastic idols.

But after Anastasia dyed her hair from blonde to dark brown Quentin was forced to end the relationship.

He said: “I separated from Anastasia because I fell out of love with her.”

Despite the break up and health problems…Quentin says he will continue to have surgeries despite being left with breathing problems caused by his multiple nose jobs.

Quentin believes Anastasia is no longer committed to becoming a living Barbie. Ken can’t be with a Barbie that isn’t truly Barbie……but wait…Ken truly isn’t Ken…and Barbie isn’t truly…well…you get it.
