Marcy’s Diner is located in Portland, Maine and the owner has recently come under fire for screaming at a families toddler while they dined. The controversy doesn’t stop there however, Facebook posts made by the owner and staff are causing an uproar.
The Customer Complaint
…And the Grande Finale! Terrible!
The owner of a Portland diner is defending comments she made on her Facebook page about yelling at a 2-year-old child for crying, screaming and disrupting her customers’ dining experience.
Darla Neugebauer, who owns Marcy’s Diner on Oak Street in downtown Portland, was unapologetic for her actions both on Facebook and in an interview with WCSH-TV.

Since this incident, Marcy’s Diner’s Facebook page has been blowing up, both with negative and positive feedback for Darla and her diner.
Marcy’s Diner’s Facebook page is most definitely not your typical, professional restaurant style profile page. Whoever moderates the page uses profanity often, speaks very bluntly and seems a tad intense.
In one review that we came across, a former cook for Marcy’s Diner probably shared the most disturbing of information about the Diner.
Are you kidding me? What kind of business is this? Screaming at the paying customers, rubbing private parts on the food and then serving it to paying customers and having an owner who is clearly a little off her rocker.
