This pattern is quick and easy with loads of texture! I love the ribbed look and using Bernat Chunky cotton gives this Pouf a nice stiff rope like texture. This product is new and only offered at Michael’s so I knew I should work out a substitution for you.
I’m certain everyone can find regular cotton whether it be Bernat handicrafter or another brand. I tested using 2 strands and 3 strands. I found 3 strands to be the best substitution in size and texture.
The photo below shows 1 strand Bernat Chunky in Robins egg, 2 strands regular cotton in Strawberry and 3 strands regular cotton in tan.

- 3 skeins Bernat Handicrafter Chunky total 645 yards,
- 1 large bag of polyester stuffing 64 oz
- 8mm crochet hook (L)
- Tapestry Needle
