When Thomas Neil Rodriguez found out his 15-year-old dog Poh had multiple health problems and not long to live, he decided to take him on a road trip.

When Thomas Neil Rodriguez discovered that his 15-year-old yellow lab, Poh, was dying, he embarked on a cross-country road trip to celebrate Poh’s life.

Rodriguez and his fiancé, Yuko Ogino, crisscrossed the country visiting 35 cities and traveling 12,000 miles, according to People.

“I always wanted to bring Poh to the West Coast so he could swim in the Pacific Ocean,” Rodriguez told People.

The couple documented every stop on Poh’s journey through an Instagram account called “Poh the dogs big adventure.”

Photos on the account show Poh posing in front of Graceland, visiting D.C., and dipping his paws in the Pacific Ocean.
