An adorable little boy could not contain his emotion when his new stepmom read out poignant ‘vows’ to him as she married his dad.

US Marine Corps Sergeant Joshua Newville and Senior Airman Emily Leehan tied the knot during a moving ceremony at Quincy Cellars in Ripley, New York.

Joshua’s four-year-old son Gage cried throughout an entire speech Emily had written for him.

In a tear-jerking declaration of love, she told the child: “I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave me the gift of you.”

The couple consoled Gage with hugs and kisses as he sobbed and wedding guests cheered in support.

Emily’s speech, addressed to Gage, began: “I want you to be safe, and to try your hardest, and to be a good person.”

With this line alone, video footage shows Gage was left in tears before Emily told him “don’t cry baby”.

His dad also held him and said “buddy, it’s okay”.

Emily then continued: “I know that you and I will butt heads, but I hope with all my heart that as you become a grown man you will understand my methods and realise I have only done what is best for you and that I love you.

“The last thing that I hope you learn is that you are a very special boy.

“You are so extremely smart, handsome, and kind to others.

“You have helped shape me into the woman that I am today, and I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave me the gift of you.”
