Last week, a deceased Leatherback sea turtle washed up on a beach in Calella, Spain, near Barcelona.

Leatherback sea turtles are the largest turtle species in the world and can grow up to 7-plus feet long and weigh over 2,000 pounds.

The turtle that washed ashore measured nearly 7-feet and weight roughly 500 pounds. The creature was so big, officials had to call an excavator to lift the creature.
