Matthew McConaughey spent his birthday hand-delivering 4,500 frozen turkeys to the residents of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

The mega movie star, who has appeared in popular films including Dallas Buyers ClubThe Lincoln Lawyer, and of course Dazed and Confused is the founder of the just keep livin’ Foundation and the creative director for Wild Turkey bourbon.

On Nov. 4, McConaughey surprised the 250 volunteers at Wild Turkey Distillery, and gave a passionate speech, which would be later posted to Facebook.

“Thanksgiving, gratitude, we believe in our family that the more you’re thankful for, the more that you show gratification, the more that you’re gonna create in your life to be thankful for,” he said. “I think it’s kinda scientific and here’s kind of living proof of it right here this morning.”

As if surprising 250 volunteers wasn’t enough…McConaughey went on to surprise residents of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky at their homes, by hand delivering turkeys to their front door!

In a second video posted to Facebook, McConaughey surprised a group of women called ‘The Hot Mamas’ and they were more than happy to invite him in!

McConaughey joked with the women saying that ‘Hot Mama’ is the nickname he uses for his wife.

One woman couldn’t help but gasp out ‘That’s one sexy man carrying a turkey!’.

McConaughey took a few moments to speak with the women, take photos and spread a little positivity. Of course as he was leaving, one of the women had to belt out McConaughey’s famous line from Dazed and Confused, ‘Alright, Alright, Alright’!

All 4,500 turkeys that were given out were donated by the Butterball company.
