Mike Dawes is known for being able to play all parts of a song on one guitar…at once!
Dawes recently displayed his talents at Cedars Hall in London where he played ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ by Gotye.
Prior to starting the song, Dawes explained to the crowd how he is able to play all parts of a song on one guitar. From starting with the simple base line, to adding the accent notes, melody and then the drums of course.

Dawes tells the audience that what he does is quite simple…but after watching the video it would appear he and I have a very different definition of the word ‘simple’.
