A new app called Tunity uses your cellphones camera feature to scan any TV program and hear the audio directly on your phone.
At first I thought this idea would further distance people from actually interacting as the Tunity website seems to show most people listening to the audio on their headphones in public places, but the more I read about it, the more I found that wasn’t the case.
It’s a pretty cool idea and technology when you think about it. Picture yourself a bar or restaurant and you want to be able to hear the big game on TV, but the place is packed and it’s just too loud. Scan the TV with your phone and the audio will stream in real time right on your phone! Put your phone on speaker and place in on the table and everyone can now hear the game crystal clear!
Looks like this would work great at the gym, waiting rooms and just about anywhere where hearing a public television is an issue.
