Here’s a pretty amazing story of one man’s mission to catch a full eclipse from a very unique perspective.
Joe Rao is an astronomer who was about to catch a flight from Anchorage, Alaska to Honolulu, Hawaii. Joe realized that the flight was taken off 25 minutes prior to when a solar eclipse was going to take place. Joe figured that the eclipse would best be seen high above the clouds. So, Joe decided to take action. He asked the airline if they could delay the flight 25 minutes so he and other passengers could witness the marvel of the universe from 35,000 feet. The airline agreed!
Check out the stunning video of the eclipse that Joe took from a view point that view will ever be able to witness first hand!
