The phrase ‘like a girl’ is one that we have all heard a million times. With that said, take a moment and truly think about what that phrase means. When the statement ‘like a girl’ is used, it truly is being used in a negative manner.

‘You throw like a girl’, or you ‘fight like a girl’. These are just a few examples of how society has molded people into thinking that when girls/women do things that both men and women equally do, somehow they are doing it wrong, or less superior than boys or men.

This simple phrase is just another way that our society is putting down women and giving the impression that they are less than equal to men. This is wrong.
