Brian Koralewski was free climbing in Provo, Utah when a piece of the boulder he was climbing broke off, sending him plummeting back to the ground.

Luckily Brian wasn’t too high off the ground and the incident wasn’t tragic. However, Brian sustained a broken fibula, one small laceration (6 stitches), a partial tear of his tendon, and some scrapes/bruises.

As you watch the video you can see the crack on the top of the boulder and when Brian puts his fingers in the crack to hoist himself up, his body weight causes the rock to split. Talk about scary!
