Youtubers PrankNation conducted a simple, yet powerful social experiment highlighting the fact that racism is still very much alive around the world. The video is so natural and simplistic, that it is scary to think just how often racism happens everyday. You don’t have to call out racial slurs, or hold signs to show racism, it can be as simple as the way you act around someone.
In this video, a young black man sits next to a white woman on a bus stop bench. The man asks the woman for thirty cents for bus far as he is short. The woman states that she doesn’t have any money on her, just her debit card. Five minutes later a young white man sits down. After a few moments of general conversation, he asks the woman for fifty cents and you won’t believe what she gives him.
