Teenager Zack Clements has a special perspective on life, especially now that he can appreciate his life a little more. Clements was a healthy teen who suddenly collapsed one day during his high school PE session. Clements was immediately rushed to the hospital, where his heart stopped beating for over 20 minutes, declaring him clinically dead. Medics were able to revive him and place him in a medically induced coma to cope with the trauma.

What is even more impressive than Zack being revived after being clinically dead for 20-minutes, is what he claims happened during those 20-minutes.

“When I was out those 20 minutes, I saw a man who had long ruffled hair and kind of a thick beard, and it didn’t take me long to realize that that was Jesus,” the young man explained. “I went up to him and he put his hand on my shoulder and he told me everything would be alright and not to worry.”

Even Zack’s father is supporting his claims.

“We’ve had people say he’s lying, or that we gave him a pill before school that day so it would look like he’d gone into cardiac arrest,” said Zack’s father, Billy Clements. “People can argue science and logic, but they can’t argue somebody’s personal experience. They can’t take that away from Zack.”

Dr. Lisa Roten, a cardiologist who helped care for Zack while he was under, says she believes him. “As a society, we don’t like to look at what’s going to happen to us after we die,” she explained, “It’s an uncomfortable thing. But somebody who is not clinically dead or has not been in that state cannot say what Zack did or did not see. He is somebody who, for 20 minutes, didn’t have a heartbeat,” she argued.
