If your state doesn’t offer a ‘tax free’ weekend sale, don’t worry! Here are 8 back to school deals that are even better than the ‘tax free’ sales!
1. Target – Since back to school also means back to college, Target is offering up to 20 percent off select college bedding, furniture, bath and decor. Plus you can use the code COLLEGE online to save $10 off a purchase of $50 or $25 off a purchase of $100 in college bed and bath. They also have deals on their regular school supplies.
2. Walmart – This year Walmart is your go-to spot for school uniforms with uniforms starting at just $4.47 apiece. You can also save on school supplies with their value bundles offering deals like a 4-pack of flash drives for $17.96.
3. Walgreens – Take advantage of every Deal of the Week from now until school starts for large markdowns on select items. Two-pocket paper folders are 10 cents through Aug. 1, and next week, starting Aug. 2, a 10-pack of Papermate ballpoint pens is 29 cents and Crayola markers or colored pencils are 99 cents. Their weekly sales for other school supplies end Saturday, August 1 and include buy-one-get-one-free backpacks.
4. Office Depot – If you want to order supplies online, Office Depot is offering $20 off purchases of $125 or $40 off $250 online only through this Saturday, August 1.
5. Macy’s – For back-to-school clothing shopping Macy’s has 20 percent off all juniors, guys and kids clothing, including sale and clearance through Aug. 6. Select backpacks are also 20 percent off and shoes are 15 percent off. Use the code BTS online.
6. Belk – Belk is offering the same 20 percent off deal as Macy’s, but their sale runs through Aug. 2. Use the code 95533424 online.
7. JCPenney – JCPenney is advertising their biggest sale of the season through Saturday, August 1 both in stores and online. You can get $10 off a purchase of $25 in stores or online using the code GYMCLASS. You can also get 20 percent off a $100 purchase, or 25 percent off a $150 purchase online only using the code SPORTS. This includes back-to-school clothes, shoes and backpacks, plus college dorm essentials.
8. Best Buy – For back-to-school technology deals, Best Buy has a few to offer including $100 off both MacBooks and Surface Pro 3s, plus 32 GB flash drives for $8.99. College students can sign up for their College Student Deals to get additional coupons sent to their email, and the Best Buy Outlet online offers returned, refurbished, clearance and pre-owned electronics at discounted rates year round.
