Ice drumming at it’s finest!
For nearly five months a year, Lake Baikal in Russia is covered with ice. Its reflective turquoise covering is a breathtaking sight to behold, but the ice holds a secret. A secret that a group of Siberian percussionists found by pure chance when one of them slipped and fell.
What they found was that the frozen lake’s ice gives off a distinctive and haunting sound, perfect for an impromptu jam session!
