It is called ‘Ebru’ art and it is absolutely fascinating to witness being done.

Ebru art is also called paper marbling, which is a method of transferring an aqueous design onto paper or a porous material, often cardboard. The result is a true mono-type, meaning that each print is one-of-a-kind.

The artist uses water as an initial canvas and creates a stunning, vibrant image…which is then transferred to paper or as stated above, cardboard.

Check out these two incredible videos of Ebru artists in action!
