WARNING: The video embedded in this post captures the moment gunshots began ringing out at Pulse Nightclub, where 49 people were killed Sunday. Our hearts go out to all the victims and their families of this horrific, senseless tragedy.
Amanda Alvear was no different than millions of other 25-year-olds on a Saturday night. She was out at the club. She was having a good time. She was sharing her night with friends over the popular social media app Snapchat.
But Alvear’s final “snap” is something that will forever be burned like a scar in the minds of anyone who saw it.
Her camera was fixed on her face when the shooting began.
Survivors of the massacre said the shooting went on for what seemed like an entire song. Others didn’t realize it was gunfire at first — until the screaming started.
Alvear, sadly was one of the dozens of men and women killed at Pulse — a popular gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Her video, so far, is the only one to surface offering a glimpse of the chaos inside the club.
