Losing weight can be a difficult journey. First, you have to muster up enough energy to formulate a fitness plan, healthy eating plan and then you have to stick with it! There are many different exercise and diet programs out there and many of us see at least one or two social media posts per day about someone we know trying to lose weight via these programs. Well, Laura Micetich was one of these people who posted about her weight loss journey on her Instagram account.
She had recently finished her undergrad career and was going through a breakup, and wanted to make a drastic change in her life as she worked hard towards being a teacher.
“I was going into a teaching degree and wanted to be a good role model the kids,” she admits. “I would go to the fridge and find something I needed – it was a bit of addiction. It wasn’t emotional eating, it was just something I did.”
Laura was able to cut down on her sugar intake and binge eating. Her diet became healthier and combined with regular exercise, she was on the right track!
Her weight loss is so incredible that many people have doubted that she did it all on her own.
“People think I have had surgery, but it was all natural,” she says. “I worked really hard. I’ve even had people steal my photos and used it for weight loss pills claiming I used them to slim down but that’s not true.”
Laura now stays super motivated, exercises on the regular and maintains a healthy diet. She is also passing on her knowledge and story to her students.
“My main goal is just to be happy and healthy. I love the gym now – I do weight training six days a week but it’s more about the lifestyle now not just losing weight,” she says.
