The fun, colorful powdery mix of Kool-Aid isn’t just for drinking anymore! There are a ton of super cool uses for Kool-Aid, that don’t involved drinking it!

Tips brought to you by thekrazycouponlady.

1. Scrub away stains in a toilet bowl.

The citric acid in the Lemon and Orange flavors do a nice job scrubbing away stains. Plus Kool-Aid smells better than chemical based cleaners.

2. Transform unfinished wood into colorful decor.

Mix up some different Kool-Aid flavors in water and then soak your wood items.

3. Remove rust, gunk, and buildup inside a washing machine.

The citric acid in Lemon and Orange Kool-Aid will take care of all the gunk buildup inside your washing machine!

4. Dye all-natural yarn on the stovetop or microwave.

Make sure to use 100% wool yarn. Synthetic fibers won’t dye very well.

5. Remove rust stains from concrete.

Mix only a few drops of water with a packet of Kool-Aid. Preferably the lemon or orange flavors. Once mixed, use a brush to scrub the stain out.

6. Dye hard-boiled eggs.

Use one Kool-Aid packet and mix with 2/3 water. Dip and enjoy!

7. Check for toilet tank leaks.

Pour a packet into the top tank of the toilet. Don’t flush for 30-minutes and see if any colored water appears in the bowl.

8. Make window clings from scented, colored glue.

Pour Kool-Aid into a bottle of glue and mix thoroughly.

9. Sanitize a dishwasher.

In an empty dishwasher, load the soap dispenser with lemon Kool-Aid and run a normal cycle!

10. Create scented play dough.

Mix the following in a medium pot:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Kool-Aid packets
  • 3/4 cup water

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the dough clumps together and reaches play dough consistency. Repeat the process for each color.

11. Make flavored lip gloss.

Put a cup of Vaseline into a small microwavable bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds (don’t let the Vaseline turn into liquid). Sprinkle in Kool-Aid mix and stir well. Transfer lip gloss to a small, portable container (a clean spice container works well) and enjoy!
