Everything is available 24 hours a day, so there is no real time to switch off. We seem to feel we have to be available all day every day, and all night, too in some cases. If someone contacts us, we often feel obliged to respond, no matter whether we are supposed to be resting or doing something else.

Instead of this and getting caught up in things that can really wait until another time but that feel important because we know about them, choose a time of day to switch off the tech and shut down the apps and forget about it all. You need this time to recharge, and if you don’t do it, you’ll never be able to increase your energy levels fully because someone will always be asking someone of you, and you will always be responding.
