Don’t Stand In The Middle Of The Sidewalk

Most New Yorkers are in a rush because time is money, and it is expensive to live in New York. They really hate it when tourists are blocking their paths just to stare up at the skyscrapers, consult a map, snap a picture, or take a selfie. While tourists are evidently on vacation, millions of busy locals are in a hurry to get to their destinations. Being a tourist does not give you the license to be rude and uncaring of others. Step to the side so that folks trying to get to work or get home don’t have to maneuver around you and waste precious seconds. The sidewalks of the city are packed with too many people and too little space, so avoid clogging up the sidewalk traffic. If you do need to stop to admire the view, take a picture, or for any other reason, be considerate enough not stand in the middle of the sidewalk and step off to the side.
