Every Friday, 2-year-old Deacon Ross waits outside for the neighborhood garbage collector, Oladele Olurunrinu, better known as O’Dee.
The toddler refers to O’Dee as his best friend in what little Deacon’s parents refer to as his first real understanding of friendship.
Sadly, Deacon was forced to say goodbye to O’Dee as the family purchased a new home off of O’Dee’s garbage route.
Deacon’s family had gift baskets prepared for O’Dee and a little farewell celebration complete with pictures and hugs.
