Alan Alda is a versatile actor who has done many films and TV shows. He is known for his witty remarks and sarcastic sense of humor. Most remember him for his character in the hit series M.A.S.H., a war comedy-drama TV series that aired from 1972 until 1983. It was about doctors and nurses in US Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M.A.S.H.) during the Korean War. It didn’t take long for Alan Alda to captivate audiences and become the hit of the show. While he started earning around $10,000 per episode, it ballooned to over $235,000 per episode by the end of the series. Compared to many sitcom actors, Alda didn’t make as much money, still, show residuals afforded him $1 million a year.
