Nature is always finding ways  to impress and show off incredibly beauties like this tiny, albino turtle.

The Albino Rhinoclemmys pulcherrima or the Painted Wood Turtle is so rare and it thrives in just a few areas around the world. It’s commonly found on the west coast of Mexico and Central America. You just can’t ignore the red and yellow marks on its shell and head.

They will eat just about anything, from grass, wildflowers, fruits, insects, worms and fish!

These little guys and gals can live up to 20-years, but sadly, the number of living albino turtles has been decreasing over the years. They are often sold on the black market and when help in captivity, their lifespan is only one year.

Their red eyes and orange skin are absolutely stunning, but it makes them an easy target for predators as well. Luckily, they have a hard shell which can protect them from many predators.

Being a target for prey isn’t the only issue albino animals have. They also have a problem mating, because their peers consider them an outcast. Albino animals have vision and hearing issues as well. Man, they are beautiful, but they just can’t seem to catch a break!
