Meet Goliath! Goliath was born weak and sick and sadly destined for a very short life on the dairy farm. Unfortunately being weak and sick on a dairy farm, means that you don’t get to stay around for very long. Goliath was destined for the slaughterhouse.
That was until a 17-year-old girl named Shaylee Hubbs and her family decided to take the little calf home themselves instead of just letting him die. Now, one important thing to note here is that the Hubbs family houses three dogs already, so this calf now gets more interaction with them than any of his own species. Through much trial and effort on the part of the Hubbs’, Goliath had been able to completely turn his health around.
The families Great Dane took up the role of the calf’s mother! The Dane’s name is Leonidas, and together the two now get themselves into all kinds of trouble. Goliath sleeps outback of the families home but when the back door was left open to the home, the family found Goliath resting nice and cozy on the families sofa.
