The world has moved on from Dolly the sheep and modernized to now cloning their beloved pets because they just cannot live without them.

Barbra Streisand has recently revealed that she has cloned her darling dog, Samantha, TWICE. Before the Coton de Tulear passed away in 2017, Streisand had cells extracted from her Sammie’s mouth and stomach to create clone puppies.

The outcome of the cloning are actually two of her current puppies, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlet. Despite having identical DNA sequence and looking exactly the same as their mom Samantha, their owner insists that the two have completely different personalities.

While the singer was waiting for her clones to be born, she adopted another pupper who is Sammie’s apparent ‘distant cousin,’ Miss Fanny, named after Fanny Brice in Funny girl. She now has three dogs who all look exactly alike, with two of them having identical genetics.

“I’m waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have [Samantha’s] brown eyes and seriousness,” she told Variety.

The star singer isn’t the only one that has attempted to clone their pets. Clothing designer Diane Von Furstenberg and her husband Barry Diller reportedly paid $100,000 to have their Jack Russell terrier Shannon cloned back in 2016. Two puppies came out of this cloning named Deena and Evita.

So there you have it, if you can afford cloning, you can multiply your pets from so much love, you can have your very own furry family that look and act exactly alike your one and only.
