Being a parent is no easy task. Keeping the house clean, making sure the children are behaving, getting from point A to point B, cooking, cleaning and on top of that…working! The job of a parent never ends and often times parents can be forgetful and simply miss the smallest of tasks due to the overwhelming life in which a parent leads. However, the one thing you never want to miss…is buckling your children into their car seats, or in the seat of the car. One mother recently proved to the world why this is something you ALWAYS must do and do CORRECTLY.

Mom Jenna Casado Rabberman has always been diligent to ensure any children in her car are buckled properly into their car seats. Her two sons — one only six weeks old and the other nearly three — are only alive today because of this commitment.

On Tuesday, Jenna posted a horrific photo of her vehicle — totaled — next to two unscathed car seats. In just a few days, the photo has been shared over 275,000 times along with the powerful warning below:

“I’m not one to post anything too heavy or personal on Facebook but guys… THIS is why you buckle your kids into their car seats correctly every SINGLE time. Even when they scream because the straps are tight. Even when they complain about the chest clip or being rear facing.

We stopped for milk on the way home from preschool yesterday. We were minutes from home. Another car slammed into us. You never think it will happen to you.

My boys escaped without a scratch but the paramedics told me it could have been very different had I not taken the extra 2 minutes to be sure they were buckled correctly.

I will be fine, my kids are fine, everything else can be replaced. Sending thanks to God for keeping us safe (along with Honda, Graco & Chicco).

If you are wondering who Honda, Graco, & Chicco are, they’re her car (a 2015 Honda CRV) and the two car seats that saved her children’s lives (Graco’s Children’s Products 4ever and a Chicco Keyfit 30, both rear facing).

Because Jenna took the extra time to secure them in their car seats, today her beautiful boys are safe.
