Many believed that the marriage of Jacqueline Bouvier and John F. Kennedy was a fairytale come true. But anyone who knows about them also knew the many “ghosts” that haunted their marriage, including that of Marilyn Monroe. These photos were taken in Cape Cod during a trip they took soon after they had gotten married. While she’s looking at him with what looks like major adoration, she also said that it must have been too good to be true. She explained, “Now, I think that I should have known that he was magic all along. I did know it — but I should have guessed that it would be too much to ask to grow old with and see our children grow up together. So now, he is a legend when he would have preferred to be a man.”
