The Berlin Wall is a piece of history that will forever be the physical reason for the divide between East and West Germany. If you happened to get stuck behind the wrong wall at the time, unfortunately for you, you had no choice but to suffer the consequences of being separated from your loved ones with no idea of when you would see each other again. In 1963, the border pass agreement was established, but it would still be 25 years before the entire wall would be taken down permanently.
