We’ve all belted out Sia’s “Chandelier” in the car at some point — because, you know, it’s catchy and badass and ALL those good type of things.
During the blind audition segment of The Voice, 22-Year-Old Harlan County resident Jordan Smith totally blew the judges away with his unbelievable cover of “Chandelier.” He hit every single note with absolute gorgeous precision, all while putting his own twist on it. And you can see how stunned the judges are by his talent — especially because every single one turned their chairs around, meaning they ALL wanted him on their team.
At the end of the audition, Gwen Stefani ran towards him and hugged him, gushing, “Oh my god, you shocked me. . . that was the most trippiest turn-around, blind audition freakiest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. You do not look like your voice, just FYI.”
After Jordan chose Adam, Adam tells the camera, “The world can learn a lot from Jordan. He was lifting every single person in the room and when I turned around and experienced it, I thought to myself, ‘Wow, this kid is a wonderful human being and also a talented human being.’ I love it when those things collide.”
