A beach area with a different kind of danger – fellow humans. The waters of this beach are ruled by pirates (really?). It is only about 100 km from Somalia, and the Al-Shabab terror group has completely destroyed the economy of this once tourist area. Somalian pirates are notorious for hijacking ships and kidnapping people for ransom. Many visitors of this island beach have been captured, and some have never made it back home alive, particularly if the ransom was not paid. Even the authorities are powerless to stop the Somalian pirates. So unless you can bring your own private army to protect you, don’t swim in this beach.
