We should not confuse hemp oil with CBD oils. First of all, because pure hemp oil does not contain CBD. It is made from cold pressed hemp seed. Its unquestionable advantage is that it is not modified and does not contain pesticides. CBD oil, in turn, is produced from the stalks, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant, which contain a higher concentration of CBD.

Similar names, different goals

CBD oil and hemp oil are used for different purposes. Cold pressed hemp seed oil can be used as an excellent nutrient in our daily diet. We find in it, above all, two essential fatty acids (EFAs):

• linoleic acid (LA) from Omega-6 group

• alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) from Omega-3 group in the optimal ratio for the human body of 3: 1.

They are essential fatty acids, which means that the human body cannot produce them by itself, so it must receive them with food. Hemp oil also contains rare gamma-linolenic acid, which is a natural carrier of vitamins, minerals and other compounds deep into the cells.

The action of CBD oils

CBD oils have an extraordinarily positive effect on the human endocannabinoid system receptors that are scattered throughout the body: in the nervous system, in all organs (mostly in the liver), in the internal walls of the blood system, bones, muscles and cells of the immune system. This system is involved in many body processes, and its main task is to maintain our immune balance. CBD oils are used by a constantly growing number of people, both ill and healthy, who want to act preventively and strengthen their immune system or support their general well-being, as well as overcome the harmful effects of stress.

Hemp oil effects

In drugstores you can find ointments, creams, lipsticks, shampoos, face cleansing products, as well as massage oils which mainly contain hemp oil. However, its role does not end with the production of cosmetics. Due to its composition – which is beneficial to the human body – fat extracted from hemp seeds is going to help you fight or alleviate various ailments. Due to the content of omega-3 acids, vitamin E and phytosterols, hemp seed oil can be used as a support in prevention of cardiovascular disease. It lowers cholesterol and strengthens blood vessels, which is why people at risk of atherosclerosis should reach for it.
