Dr. Anthony Fauci has held his breath for months while Donald Trump was President, but it’s said that he’s now fully exhaled and is having a hard time hiding his glee over his new boss.
The doctor made it clear that there were times working with Trump when he felt uncomfortable, but I think many could see that during the daily White House briefings.
It has been said that Fauci was unable to correct Trump when he spoke falsehoods about the coronavirus for fear of being fired. The best evidence of this, Fauci said, is Trump touting hydroxychloroquine as a type of ‘cure’ for the virus. He didn’t want to squarely contradict Trump, because of Trump’s temper — but he clearly feels comfortable giving Biden the straight take.
