Mike Yung is probably one of the most famous subway buskers in New York City. Yung rose to fame after a video of him belting out some tunes on a Brooklyn subway platform went extremely viral.

Ed Sheeran was in town for a big show and he took the subway to Brooklyn. While walking through the subway station, he came across Yung as he sang Sheeran’s new song, “Eyes Closed,” on the platform in the Church Avenue station.

Yung was completely caught off guard as Sheeran walked up behind him and joined in on the song.

Yung stopped, smiled and hugged Sheeran before the two began singing the song together. After that, it appeared Sheeran slipped Yung a couple tickets to his NYC show.

Fans couldn’t believe that Sheeran would ride the subway…

“CHURCH AVENUE ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEE OMGGGGG,”

“Would never expect to see Ed Sheeran at church Ave,”

Another fan wrote: “And I thought Church Ave, was a dead station, especially since there’s always seems to be construction there for the F and G lines, lol!”

Ed Sheeran is basically one of the coolest high profile singer/songwriters on the planet.
