Mother, Courtney Moore took numerous shots of her son on his first day of school in Minneha Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas. One of these special photos captured the hearts of the people when they saw her eight-year-old son, Christian, holding hands with his classmate, Connor.
Moore captioned the photo with: “I’m so proud of my son. He seen a kid balled up into a corner crying, so he went to console him, grabbed his hand and walked him inside of the school! It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child! He’s a kid with a Big heart, the first day of school started off right.”
Over 2,000 people shared and positively reacted to the photo and April Crites, Connor’s mother also shared her own praise with Christian, as well as thanking him for his kindness.

This was Crites’ comment:
“Tell you son I said thank you so very much! That little boy he helped is my son and is autistic, I worry everyday that he is going to get bullied for being different and your son just absolutely warmed my heart. If there were more children like him I wouldn’t worry about such things.”
Moore also replied to this comment talking about Christian’s struggles with his speech, saying that these two boys are unique in their own ways.
“I hope that this will be the beginning of a new friendship for both of our sons. Your son was so sweet.”
