We all have regrets in life. Should we have said I love you more, taken a certain job, said ‘yes’ to something out of our comfort zone. The list of individual regrets can truly go on and on.
What if you were given a blank chalkboard to write down your one true regret, what would you write?
This is exactly what recently took place in New York City. Youtubers A Plus placed a large, chalkboard in the middle of the city and left it there for a full day. The heading on the chalkboard read “Write Your Biggest Regret’, and that is what people did.
At the end of the day, after seeing all the regrets that had been written on the chalkboard, something was noticed. Nearly every single one of the regrets started with the word ‘not’. An eraser was then given to the participants and they were allowed to erase their regrets, a metaphoric symbol that defines ‘a clean slate’.
Such an interesting experiment.
